This is such a beautiful series that just captivates the reader. Brilliantly done and can't get enough of Ethan *swoons* The man is hot in all his English glory. He is a the perfect package, flawed do to his time spent in the Afghanistan War, chivalrous, gorgeous from head to toe with the most beautiful azure eyes, the English accent gets me every time, his passion for all things pertaining to love and the bedroom, his 100% alpha male is hot, *sighs perfection* and he is just the most perfect English gentleman. Yes, crushing just a little on Ethan *blushes* I would have to say that Ethan Blackstone is my all time favorite leading male character.
This story takes off were it left off, Ethan has taken Brynne to his sister Hannah's home in the country to ensure she will be safe. I love how he takes charge and takes care of Brynne all alpha male. Ethan is already just perfection, but to see him interact with his niece, Zara was just adorable. She is quite the spitfire and just full of all kinds of information that should have been kept quite, oh boy did she put a smile on my face.
Ethan comes up with a more permeate plan to keep Brynne safe.....marriage. He loves Brynne and wants to do this to protect her, and also make her his. The man is so intense and so in love, you see through this story that she is everything to him and has awaken him from his nightmares. He is a man who is completely and totally smitten and in love. Well you can imagine Brynne's reaction, she is a little concerned with giving all of herself to him, inlue of her insecurities. I admire Brynne she gets scarred and insecure a lot, but she works through it and continues forward. She tries really hard to not let the past corrupt her future. Which is challenging since there is still the mad man that is after her.Read more ›

Loved this series! AMAZING!!

AMAZING, what else can i say! This is one of my all time favorite series! Raine writes in such a way that you feel as though you are swept up with the characters or they are very close friends. I really liked how she brought everything together in the book from what happened to Ethan when he was captured to how these characters relate to the two other historical books by Raine. There was just enough angst to keep it suspenseful, and much love and romance to get you all fired up ( yes, look out husbands and boyfriends once your lady reads this one!). If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for? Raine announced there will be a book 4 too!!

Is this really supposed to be romance?

So dissappointed by the last installment in the series. I was never truly engaged with the story, but I still wanted to see it through its end.
So even considering I had not much expectations, it has been one of my biggest literary disappointments in the last year. That should tell you something!

The story feels like a soap opera, and soooo predictable. Brynne turned into the stupidest girl in the world. Ethan reaches new levels of macho that are so discouraging (and may I say that I don't know how he is supposed an expert on security if the simplest scheme bypasses his controls).

Not even the hot scenes are hot. I skipped through several of them because they were so blah.

Raine Miller you have rocked my socks once again!!!
What can I say? Ethan Blackstone has become an iconic book boyfriend. When he was introduced to us in Naked, he was hard, closed off and sexy as hell. In All In, Raine Miller showed us the vulnerable side of Ethan. It made us want him even more because not only was he still sexy as ever but you want to hold his heart.
In EYES WIDE OPEN, Raine pulled out all the stops. She made Ethan Blackstone the ultimate book boyfriend. There isn't a thing that women everywhere wouldn't do to own his heart were he to be real rather than fictional. This time we saw his filthy, dirty and hot as all get out side where you wish he were buried inside of you and never leave. We got to see his vulnerable side and this time much more so than the last two installments. He pulled at your heart that you would do anything to take on his pain and relieve him of his demons. There was still hard and edgy Ethan whom you knew meant business and that he just didn't play around when it came to keeping Brynne safe. But aside from all of this, Raine Miller added another layer; another dimension to Ethan and it was this side of him that has me wrecked and putty in his fictional hands. She showed us an Ethan who is so warm, compassionate, caring, playful and endearing.
Holy hell pin me down with those hands that command you to do his bidding. Rivet me with the intensity of those blue eyes that tell you so much and are a window to all that is Ethan. Consume me with those words that speak of everything that his body cannot and that promise you forever.
The story--the suspense and thrill of it was fantastic and held you captive. I did not want to put it down. Raine Miller had your `spidey senses' tingling throughout the last half of the book.Read more ›

One of my favorite series - must read!

I remember when I read "Naked" (the first book in this series) I didn't know what to expect and was afraid that I might be reading something that wouldn't interest me. It was one of the best books I've ever read. I fell in love with the characters of Brynne & Ethan and the secondary characters of their family and friends - their love story was perfectly crafted. The second book was more of the same and I read it again this past week before reading this one just to reaquaint myself with the series because I read a lot and didn't want to get characters mixed up. I'm so glad I did because it reminded me why I love the Blackstone Affair series so much. Perfectly told love story, great sex, great relationships, well written, it has it all. This final book in the series was a perfect cap to the series and I absolutely loved every page. Read this series and you will become a fan as well.
